Not your usual Postpartum list

Here are some things I loved during my postpartum period that are not your usual! None of these are essentials but they did make my life so much easier and I would 100% use them all again if I had another baby. I hope this list is helpful for you too!

  • Airpods / Wireless Headphones
These were amazing during my postpartum period as it can be lonely in the nighttime when feeding or settling. I used mine almost every night; they often helped keep me awake! I popped on my fave podcast, audiobook or even playlist and felt immediately better.

  • Block out Blinds
I had shades that stuck onto my windows and these helped me to nap during the day, also helped with getting baby to sleep in the day.

  • A big drink bottle + Keep Cup
HYDRATION! It is so important postpartum, having a big drink bottle was super important for me. I also loved the keep cup to keep my hot drinks warm because it was not often I made a hot drink and actually got to drink it hot #2under2

  • Long phone charger cable
Nothing more annoying than an empty phone battery and a sleeping baby you don’t want to move.

  • Clothes Rack + Dryer
I hung something on the clothing rack or used the dryer every single day. SO MANY TINY THINGS TO WASH AND DRY!

  • Extra Sheets
Stressing about washing sheets to make sure you have them clean for that night is NOT IT. Extra bed linen is so handy so you don’t stress about laundry.

  • Robovac and/or Stick Vacuum
Easy cleaning of spaces you spend time in, without having to lug around a heavy vacuum. BIG FAN.

  • Freezer Meals
You will thank yourself later. Easy meals to pop in the oven and heat up that are nutritious and take the load off you to do any cooking in those early weeks will be key.

  • Handy Snacks
Think yummy + easy to eat. I loved bliss balls, crackers and cheese and lactation cookies.
